Just before Christmas I was driving from Colorado to be with family in Virginia and my car broke down. Fortunately it was disabled in Hays KS and was towed to Ward's Automotive Repair. Doug Ward provided excellent customer service by diagnosing the problem, arranging to obtain parts, helping me get a rental car, doing excellent repairs and picking me up at the airport when I returned to retrieve my vehicle. It is great to know that there are still such good customer oriented people in the US. Although I do not want to have an auto break down again, if it does I hope that it will be in Hays so that the repairs and service are done by such a good operation.

Doug, his brother and his father were all so great! We got our break pads changed here. They were reasonably priced, professional and super friendly! We were traveling through, so we stuck around while they changed the pads and had some great conversations with them all. Thanks again for helping us out guys!
They were so great to me. I was traveling from Boulder, Colorado back to Dayton, Ohio when my car started shaking, stuttering, downshifting, losing power and just felt like it was going to explode any time. I babied it to the exit at Hays, Kansas, and stayed the night in a hotel. That morning, I looked at the reviews of local repair shops and Wards was hands down the place to go based on reviews. I came unannounced and lo and behold he had me pull right in. He dug right in and fixed my vehicle, not stopping until it was completely fixed. I was so shocked and surprised that this kind of service and hospitality still existed in America! This was completely above and beyond, and I am still amazed at my experience! I got all the way home and have been driving the wheels off it since being back home, and guess what? It is GREAT still! THANK YOU!
My German car broke down while driving from Denver to Oklahoma. I was 50 miles west of Hays Kansas and called a few shops in Hays. Most weren't able to help for a day or two but Doug at Ward's Automotive was a great help. He helped me get the car towed to his shop. The alternator had failed and a local parts store was able to get one in by 5:00 PM. Doug committed to staying late and had it changed by 6:30 PM so I was able to get home late that night instead of having to stay an extra day or two.
