So don't read the bad reviews and get turned off from here instantly. Understand sliding scale low income facilities such as this get BS reviews from people with drug seeking behavior who don't get what they want and don't need. Or people with a really upset hard lifestyle and go into places acting overly entitled and rude and don't get love back.
I took my mother to see Dr. Fisher and she seems to not know much about anything. I went with her to the appointment and I felt like there was something strange about how she presented information to us, almost like she was faking something. But, she has the look of somebody who has been in this business for a while, so I did not argue. After we left, the more I thought about the encounter, the weirder things felt. I eventually called my brother, who is an Internist in Kansas City, and asked him about some of the things at the appointment. He told me that Dr. Fisher's treatment on multiple problems made no sense and was actually quite dangerous for our mom. He could not believe that multiple dangerous mistakes could be made in one visit. He strongly cautioned me against ever going back to her again. We will not be back.
I recently switched insurance companies and my previous dentist no longer accepts them. I was having some pain in my teeth and I found the only clinic in Hays that accepts my insurance is First Care Clinic. When I scheduled the appointment the lady was very polite and informative but never once mentioned to not bring your child. When I arrived at my appointment the young woman who checked me in was so very polite and cute as a button. She informed me that since they were doing X-Rays my son couldn't be in the room (nothing I didn't already know) I simply asked if someone could keep an eye on him for the 3 minutes that it was going to take to get the X-Rays completed as this was something my previous dental hygienist has always done because I wasn't going to leave him alone in the lobby he is only 1 1/2. She said that they normally don't but to grab her when they started and they would watch him for a second. When I was taken back and got in the room another young woman I assume the assistant explained to me that she was going to have to reschedule me since my son was with me and that I need to find a babysitter for the next time. I simply said that x-rays take 3 minutes and asked if he could just sit in the chair with his snack since she wasn't willing to go to the front and have someone sit with him for a bit. She said she wasn't comfortable with that ..... I told her I wasn't going to reschedule and left. I understand that they are not babysitters but I am very upset because no one informed me prior to me arriving for my appointment that my child was such a huge inconvenience the whole way the situation was handled very unprofessional and rude in my opinion. Next time I'll just pay out of pocket instead of going to first care.
I had an experience completely opposite of what some reviews I have seen on here. From walking into the office and working with Dr. Chris Lundberg my experience were was great. He seemed quickly responsive to my needs and got me quick and proficient help ASAP.
The billing office is doing terrible job. I paid my bill and they keep sending me the same bill. I left VoiceMessage with them twice and they never call me back. Never will go there again.
We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Fisher. She consistently answers all our questions during and after our appointments. Dr. Fisher provides a complete understanding, analytical yet sympathetic approach, and always accompanies her diagnosis with thorough treatment recommendations. Thank you Dr. Fisher, and all the staff at First Care Clinic for your hard work; and, for taking the time to be attentive to your patients’ needs and listening to their medical concerns fully. We cannot ask for better care!
