I don't generally leave negative reviews but this place really deserves one. This review has been 26 years in the making. I bought a chainsaw in 1991 from this store and was fooled into buying their service contract. The contract was good on paper but the actual service was subcontracted out to a company with super slow sub par service. After complaining about their lack of service Sears lost all record of my purchase and accused me of stealing the saw from the store. It took multiple calls to corporate in order to clear the accusation up. Sears does have some good products but I do not recommend this Hays Kansas store and certainly don't recommend any Sears "service contract". I have not set foot in ANY Sears for 26 years and will not until they advertise their going out of business sale.
We went to Sears looking for a riding lawn mower and found just what we needed. Staff was great. We will return for future purchases
